The Oxnard College Latina GDP event was a major success!

In collaboration with the California Lutheran University Center for Economic Research & Forecasting, Oxnard College hosted a special presentation of the 2024 Latina GDP Report on April 15th.

We extend a very special thanks to David Hayes-Bautista and Matthew Fienup, authors of the Latina GDP Report, to the Oxnard College campus. Through separate presentations, these extraordinary leaders described the findings of their impressive report. The impact of their report and presentations in our local area were addressed by a group of successful leaders. Moderated by Celina Benavides-Black, a panel consisting of Vanessa Calderon, Supervisor Vianey Lopez, and Nancy Mendez shared how they see local Latinas addressing education, employment, and wealth. Special thanks goes to the Pacific Coast Business Times for sponsoring the panel discussion.

Over 250 campus and community leaders attended the event, which began with a networking reception, sponsored by the West Ventura County Business Alliance.

Attendees are invited to provide feedback about the event through a brief survey.
