The Latino GDP Presentation was an incredible success. The event welcomed over 200 people in attendance, including students, community and business leaders who learned about the increasing economic impact of the Latino community from Dr. Matthew Fienup and Dr. David Hayes-Bautista, authors of the 2023 U.S. Latino GDP Report.

Their findings were supported by a panel of leaders, who voiced what they see on a local level. Special thanks to moderator, Jorge Mercado, and panelists Rebecca Evans, Dr. Cesar Morales, Dr. Gagan Pawar, and Miguel Noriega.

We also Dr. Rick MacLennan, Chancellor of the Ventura County Community College District, and Dr. Oscar Cobian, Interim President of Oxnard College for their opening remarks.

We are very thankful for the participation of two outstanding sponsors – the Pacific Coast Business Times and the West Ventura County Business Alliance.
