Metallica Scholars

Match Metallica and help rock the trades!

The 2023/2024 academic year launched a new workforce education initiative, created by rock band Metallica’s Foundation, All Within My Hands (AWMH). Oxnard College was selected for a Metallica Scholars grant to support students in Fire Technology, Culinary Arts, and Dental Hygiene.

The AWMH partnered with the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) to select community colleges from across the country that best demonstrated support of relevant jobs skill training for community college students.

Metallica Scholars is a major workforce education initiative that provides direct support to community colleges to enhance their career and technical education programs. To date, Metallica and AWMH have invested over six million dollars in the American workforce through career education programs like those at Oxnard College, and have helped over 4,150 students pursuing careers in the trades.

Make a gift today to match Metallica and help Oxnard College ensure more students have the support they need to pursue career and technical training.

Oxnard College is using the grant funds to provide scholarships for students enrolled in three of our distinguished career programs, who need financial assistance to complete their studies and become licensed professionals. The project supports underrepresented students who would not be able to complete their program or obtain credentials without financial support. The focus of this project is on the following high-demand programs.

Culinary Arts
Dental Hygiene
Fire Technology (Fire Academy)

You’re invited to join the All Within My Hands Foundation and make a contribution to create greater impact of the Metallica Scholars Initiative. Each dollar contributed will be matched by the OC Foundation!
