The OC School of STEM welcomed two impressive guestspeakers at its Merienda. Andy and Nancy Devine of Coastal Connections enjoy lunch and discussion with STEM students and faculty.
Coastal Connections was founded in 2002 and has become one of the leading providers of engineered fiber optic cables and terminations in the world. They serve the medical, space, defense, and industrial markets. Their medical cables are sold around the world for laser surgery and medical diagnosis. Coastal Connectionsā space cables are used for laser communication and in laboratory experiments, while the defense cables are used on land and in aircraft for communications and sensing.
Andy Devine is the President and Founder of Coastal Connections. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Cal Poly SLO and an MBA from Pepperdine. Nancy is the Vice President of Coastal Connections and holds a BS in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly SLO. They both worked to grow their company from a one car garage to a multi-million dollar company with 40 employees and a 13,000 square foot facility in 22 years and balance building a company at the same time as raising twins, building a family, and creating a life.
