Transfer Tips
-
- Never give up. We all have goals we want to achieve and if it means taking it one step at a time then so be it. The point is, never give up on what you truly want to accomplish.
- Ask for help when you need it. Being afraid or being too prideful can prevent a lot of knowledge you can gain. Itās not worth it when itās one step closer to your success story.
- Remember that youāre human. Youāre bound to experience some hardships academically but donāt be hard on yourself for it. Itās good to have a driven mindset but remember that your experience as a student transferring should be joyful and not miserable.

- Don’t stress over not having any internships/work experience by the time you transfer out of OC. It’ll all work itself out over time as you move up towards your degree.
- Make sure you talk to an academic advisor at least twice a semester. Also make sure the classes you are taking are aligning with the Assist.org catalog for your school. The last thing you want is to not be considered for admission because you didn’t take a class the university was asking for.
